dont know if any of you are still watching, but I thought last nights episode was one of the better ones in the series. The kid who plays Judith is a fantastic actress.

It was very well done. So much better after the Rick Reboot.
What I didn't like was how choppy they made it so that it was more difficult to forward through the commercials. That's probably the beginning of the new trend since more and more people DVR shows and then forward past them.

I thought there was going to be more to the back story from last night.

Good to see Daryl back as a bad ass.
Looking forward to the Kingdom catching some flack. But what I don't know is why are they in such a desperate state. They've been relatively conflict free for 6 years. Why are they struggling? And why the strife with Alexandria? Thought the backstory would explain that but it didn't really.

What I take from it is that the communities basically stopped trusting each other and working together (not sure why yet). Prior to the time jump, each group had some areas where they were strong (i.e. the Hilltop was good at producing food). The groups could trade with each other, and share goods/services. When the cooperation broke down, each group had to shore up the areas where they were weak, and that take time (i.e. Alexandria had to develop ways to produce more food). In addition, Alexandria stopped trusting anyone and refused to take in new people. That meant that more individuals ended up going to Hilltop and The Kingdom, which added population (and need for higher production) to those communities. Ezekiel is completely focused on re-establishing cooperation between the communities as he knows that it will help all of them.

I was about ready to give up on the show prior to the time jump, but it has improved this season. It still has issues, but not as many as before. Eliminating Rick, and making Negan a minor character, helped a lot. As did adding some interesting new characters.

I've got a feeling that either late this season or early next, Negan is about to become a major player again.

My guess (I've not looked at any spoilers or comics) is that Neagan will actually be instrumental in defeating the Whisperers and saving the communities. The writers love to humanize the villain and get you to like someone you initially hated.

Again,just a guess.

Nice ending tonight.

Kind of bummed about some of it. Not so much on some of it.
Specifically speaking. What a lame way to kill off Enid and Tara (although I am not a fan of the acting of the latter). Also, I'm fine with Henry and the old woman being gone. Both were annoying characters.

Well... just saw that episode. Wow. Pretty stunned. Worst ending since Beth.

I guess that says something about the writing quality.

What a let down of a season finale. Boring as all get out.

How are they going to get rid of Michonne? Are they setting up for Negan to take over hilltop and then have a conflict when Maggie comes back.

Fear might actually be more interesting now with Dwight showing up there.

Deer Lowered I need to find some better shows.

Agreed. Writers started taking their moron pills once again.

I'm sorry, but zombies buried in snow are not that scary. Easily dispatched with limited danger to the people that stumble upon them.

With that out of the way, why would a bunch of walkers be buried in the snow? It's not like they lay down as a group to take naps. If they were suddenly buried beneath enough snow to pin them down (let's say an avalanche, or they walked into a snow drift) then, they are no threat at all because they are pinned down. Maybe if you stepped on one, or cleared the snow off of them, but those zombies were freeing themselves with no help. Why wouldn't they have already done that?
