I haven't read the comics, but it is looking to me like the Saviors are a huge group and that this was just one of their outposts. I'm sure he wasn't there.
So what do you think about my Carol prediction now? I am starting to wonder with the comments from the actors if it won't be Maggie instead on Carol I just couldn't believe they would do it to Maggie with how big of a role I have heard she plays in the comic books.
I still don't think they kill Carol. My prediction is that they trade Maggie for the Savior that they captured and the Saviors keep Carol as hostage. This will allow us, once again, to see Carol's absolute badassery in action once again.
I heard a few of the actors say the season finale was just brutal. So to me that says Maggie because last week you have the shot where everyone was looking at the ultra sound like one big family. I am thinking they trade Carol then Maggie is the punishment. Which would unite the whole clan against Negan and his crew and it would really illustrate to the viewers how evil Negan is.
1. Ther is NO WAY it will be Maggie. She continues to play an even bigger part in the comic books.
2. There is a small chance it's Carol.....but I don't think so. She's not even a major character in the comic books, but she is such a badass in the show...it'd be like offing Darrell.
3. It's most likely Glenn. They're really setting it up to be him. His concerns about attacking the Saviors last night. His reaction to killing humans for the first time last night. Them having Maggie. That's how it happens in the comics (during a parley gone bad with the survivors). Furthermore, it's done by Negan in a very specific, very brutal manner that I don't see them doing to a female.
She ends up running/leading The Farm after the war with Negan

Negan bashes his head in with "Lucille" a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire that is Negan's favorite weapon.
You make an excellent case here and after reading your reasons I think it would get the message across just as well as what idea I was throwing out there. Man people will be pissed.
I don't know that there is enough time for all of those things to happen this season. Only 2 more episodes until the long hiatus. My guess is that the culmination of the Negon storyline doesn't happen until next season. Probably well into next season.
Now that I think about it, you are right. Not sure where I got that. Last night on the Talking Dead, one of the actors said something about "the first 6 episodes of this season" and I either misheard him or misinterpreted what he was talking about.
My bet is that this season ends with Glenn's being skull crushed and the Farm and Alexandria preparing for all out war against the Saviors. "All Out War" is the name of the storyline in the comic books and it went over 12 issues or so (like a whole year) and included several other communities which I hope they introduce next year.
