Wacko leftists in Cali Senate votes to keep Trump off ballot ...

... unless he releases his tax returns.

Idiocy.

I'm sure this will be struck down in courts. A hilarious Trump counterstrike would be to disallow Cali POTUS votes because of all of the illegals illegally voting.
Meh, just another petulant kid fit to get their self serving way.
It'd take an amendment to sustain so, moot point.
I don't give a tinkers damn about anyone's taxes but my own, and that is marginal too.

"the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what theymust".

Well, whatever we do, we do NOT want transparency from government. We need to make sure Biff's tax returns are hidden because..... well, Biff says he doesn't like them released. BOOOOOOO transparency!

Notice when Barr said the word "spy" how all talks in the US House demanding tax returns ceased.

“Allowing individual states to adopt their own qualifications for congressional service would be inconsistent with the Framers’ vision of a uniform national legislature representing the people of the United States,” Justice John Paul Stevens wrote for the majority in U.S. Term Limits Inc. v. Thornton. “If the qualifications set forth in the text of the Constitution are to be changed, that text must be amended.”

Same logic holds true for the President.

States rights

LOL

I forget that Democrats occasionally remember that states have rights....if only when it suits their lunacy, whether it be trying to suppress the vote in California in 2020 or trying to keep their slaves in South Carolina in 1861.

States can make their own rules for ballot access and have absolute discretion on how to select presidential electors.

Haha which side of states rights are you on for this issue? I know which side the Constitution is on.

I'd release my tax returns like this

*Within the confines of federal law.

But can they leave a candidate off the ballot for not disclosing tax returns?
