Let the record show that I/DBros have a major peleton race in the a.m.; but once that can of whoop ass has been opened and served, we'll all be voting, and some maybe twice.

I love voting. I go to a tiny school house in rural payne county that’s over 90 years old. I get to see extended family and neighbors that I hardly ever run into. I used to ride with my grandpa because my grandma was on the election board and worked every election at this same school house. It’s a religious experience for me at this point in my life.

That is a cool story.

Seriously, sounds fun.

I’m one of the most nostalgic people you will ever meet. I have zero short term memory left but I can close my eyes and see plain as day my grandma healthy and vibrant handing out ballots. My grandpa in his standard blue shirt and overalls stamping the rooster. I can hear the shuffling across the dusty wooden floor. It’s a real blessing to have had such a special relationship with this place that I live and why I moved home when my grandma died. It forces me to have these memories when I walk the same steps I did as a kid and now with my kids.

You got any down home memories like that you would share?

Nothing like that. I have some great childhood memories, but most would bore you. Just curious. How much time will you spend there today? Does your family all arrange to show up at the same time, or does everyone just show up and hang for a while?

It’s random. 2nd cousins, aunts and uncles, neighbors it always different. No coordination.

I think there is 8mm film of relatives stuffing Ballot Box 13 in Jim Wells County, Tx, 70 years ago.

For what it is worth, I voted in Florida this morning and it took me about an hour to vote. Rather long line.
