The questions that those people have will never be answered to their satisfaction. Those people have had the truth for over six months and. Still refuse to believe it. I can't force people to accept the truth as truth. And I can't force them to reject bullsh!t. All I can do is put it in realistic terms and if they think it's "cruel" or "snarky" that's their opinion.
I have seen wave after wave of unvaccinated patients come to the hospital to die alone on a ventilator. Sound awful? It is.
And I have seen other surgeons go on ECMO or die from this fùcking virus, before vaccines were available. And I have seen dozens of patients get referred for organ donation - devestating brain injury from hypoxia due to COVID. And I've held lungs from COVID positive organ donors in my hands. They have the color, the shape, the size, and the consistency of a cantaloupe. A big, heavy, solid mass that is in no way capable of sustaining respiration - exchanging O2 for CO2.
We have an effective, reasonable tool for fighting it and yet 35% of the population refuse to see it as reasonable because "Fauci", "China", "Biden", "Freedom", "Grown in a lab", "No FDA approval", "Not 100% effective", "Myocarditis". It's just excuse after hackneyed excuse.
And the goalposts keep moving ... and the Gab links and the dumb excuses keep metastasizing... Not to mention the ridiculous and illogical misinformation campaign being touted here on these stupid boards by assorted conspiracy-theory-spreading miscreants daily.
But they've never seen anyone die from this virus. I have. They've never lost a patient from this virus. I've lost seven. And I would have lost Both of my parents if not for the vaccine.
As I said earlier, there are 3 outcomes for defeating this virus and two are extremely risky. The tools have been out there to defeat it for a very long time.
It's also worrisome to me as a physician that people refuse to take the advice of their physicians. They take their personal physician's advice when their blood pressure is high, their acne gets too bad, their kid gets in a car wreck, or when their d!ck doesn't work; but they refuse to take their physicians' advice on this deadly virus for which there are clear guidelines to safely prevent.
Worse, they choose to pick their advice from these discredited, narcissistic, and probably incredibly greedy FrontLine "physicians" who haven't seen a microscope or a patient since the Bush administration; and have never read a public health article. As a physician, trying to correct this type of misinformation is just fatiguing. Imagine if 35 % of the population thought YOU were lying.
So again, act however you want and believe whatever you want. But actions have consequences. My actions have led to immunity and safety for my family. What have your actions done?

The vaccine would never be approved this quick in a normal setting, but we aren't in normal are we? I agree to let patients get the vaccine, not to mandate it as I see it as still in the experimental stages. Course, I have trust issues when it comes to the governemnt. My question is with natural immunity from having caught and survived the kingflu why are vaccines necessary? I’ve read nothing that says I’m a potential vector and have read articles that say natural immunity is lasting longer then originally thought it would.
Assuming that’s true, then the vaccines being “new” there is no definitive study as to side effects over the long run (think chantix) versus my natural immunity which continues to hold very strong 13 months after infection. Seems conventiona
