I follow recruiting pretty heavily, like to see what kids are showing interest in OSU, however, this is why College Football has so many kids in the portal because they, the recruit, handlers and parents, still have this narrative and fantasy of UT football.
Not going to blow up this kid, even though he currently does not have an offer from OSU but he is like many recruits here is Texas that continue to view UT as a winning program and/or think they will be the missing piece that will change UT back to a winner. What is also funny, this particular recruit was visiting UT when OSU beat them this season, would seem that would peak the interest in seeing what OSU is about.
I for one, complain about OSU recruiting, this season not included, but the staff does have an uphill battle with high valued targets when they still are brainwashed to go or consider UT.
“I like their tradition and winning culture. Even though they didn’t have a great year last year, they’re pretty much always at the top,” “It’s a great culture, great coaches and great payers. They’re going to build something strong for the future and that’s something I’d like to maybe do there.”
You just cannot make this $hit up....Seriously, UT coaches/staff have to have one of the easiest recruiting gigs!
