College football is now officially a circus. Pro football is more sane and legit now than college ball. We’re hiring kids to play one year at a time, until they get a better offer. There is no more loyalty. I’m not sure you can call them students anymore. Kids with no better offers can be kept or removed if a better player can be found. Players are making more money than college grads with 10 years in the workforce. I’m older than most fans, and I don’t think I can afford to invest the time, energy, and emotion I once had. The lawyers, networks, and agents have ruined college sports.
