It's early, but no cowboys are registered on Flo Arena yet. There are several sooners listed, so Micco will be happy.
He isn't on the entry list at this time, though it has been reported that he will compete. I'm looking into it.
Mike Magaldo is also registered at 65 kg but not listed in the article. No Picc, Boo or Smith, still a pretty good turnout. Some interesting weights - Gary down to 57 kg, Kaid up to 65 kg and Tristan up to 70 kg.
Physical growth and development would be big a benefit to Kaid. Doing so and being able to maintain at 133 for next season obviously.
Is it possible that he's using this as a tune up? He really has very little freestyle experience. Just WTT last year and one tournament in high school that I remember.
JMO but I do not think Dean's style is compatible to freestyle. He is a great wrestler but he is all over the mat front and back during his takedowns and counters.
I disagree. I think he could be the future at 65kg (with 2hr weigh-ins day of). He is a phenomenal athlete who is very skilled with his leg attacks and I think he will make some small adjustments defensively.
Hope you are right DayHawk but he has rarely wrestled freeestyle and his style is not conducive to it. That is not to say he could not adapt.
Hey, I didn't start off in freestyle, but adapted well. By the end of my senior year, there were very few 8th graders I couldn't take down.
Everyone is listed as going except for Mike Magaldo. Also, Schafer is at 98 kg for greco. It's strange that Floarena isn't updated and Flo didn't mention some guys in their predictions article.

No, but 9th graders were another story.
Just curious, why would a guy like chandler rogers not be interested in wrestling in this tournament or even pic.
So far Heil is 2-0 but won last match 5-4. A real test for him as next match is against TyShawn Williams at 65kg. Brock is 2-0 with two 10-0 tf's. Harding is 1-0 with a 10-0 tf. Geo Martinez is 0-1 and in consos as is Jonce Blaylock. Moran lost to Larry Early III and is in consos at 70kg. Magaldo is 0-1 and in the consos.
Up to date scores: Three Cowboys in the round of 16 include Harding 2-0 with a 2nd TF over John Martin at 57kg, Dean Heil 3-0 with a12-2 tf over TyShawn Williams at 65kg and Kaid Brock with a 9-5 win over Brent Moore. All others still in consolations. Jonce Blaylock is 1-1, Magaldo is 0-1 with a bye Tristan Moran is 0-1 with 8-4 loss to Larry Early and Lincoln Olson lost by TF to Anthony Ashnault..
Flo just posted the match between Brock and Brent Moore who was a RS Fr. at VA Tech. Moore was 2X Ohio champ, Flo National champ and finalist in the super 32 last year. Brock got the first takedown on a go by but Moore got Brock in a front head pinch for a 4 point move. Brock got a takedown on a low single. in the 2nd period Moore tried the head pinch again and Brock blew through it with a double leg for the takedown , got a push out for one moore and match ended up on a cradle for Brock for two more points and a 9-5 win.
Brock looked a little smaller than Moore who is a 141 pounder but is every bit as strong.
I overlooked Jacobe Smith as he is wrestling for CWC/TMWC and not listed with the other Cowboys. He had barnburner of a match against Daniel Lewis of Missouri and came out on top 17-16 in what Flo calls in upset.
Keegan Moore is Jabobe's Team mate on CWC/TMWC and he has had 1 match winning by tech fall 11-0.
Daniel Lewis was the #1 seed and a a 4th place finisher which is why it was called an upset.
Gary Wayne Harding is in the qtrs with an 18-8 win at 57kg Kaid Brock is in qtrs with an 8-4 win over Edgar Bright and wrestles Tommy Thorn next. Dean Heil is in qtrs defeating Bizzle 10-4. Jacobe Smith is in qtrs with 8-1 win and Keegan Moore is in the qtrs with 11-1 win. Only wrestler out is Lincoln Olson..
For Micco: The sooners have one in the qtrs with Jacob Rubio but he faces Taylor Lamont in the next round. Rubio did defeat Markus Simmons 6-4 in his last match. Andrew Dixon "The Lone Triplet" is 1-1 and in consos. Justin Thomas at 74kg is 1-1 in consos, Michael Longo at 65 kg is 3-1 and in the consos, Noah Teaney at 65 is 3-1 in the Consos.
Geo is the only Cowboy left in consos and just won his last match 11-7 so five in qtrs and one in conso.
