Ukraine 'agrees to US minerals deal' as Washington eases key demands
The deal could be a way to improve relations with the US after three years of war

Not sure this will lead to peace but it is a step to get there.
I could be wrong (I frequently am), but it is my understanding most of the minerals being discussed are in territory currently occupied by Russia. Also most of the minerals are already legally “owned”/contracted by private industry. Last, Russia can nix any deal signed by Zelensky as he’s no longer a legitimate president. Has this been discussed anywhere by the western press?
