UFC signs Michael Chandler

21-5 headed into the UFC and will be the back up for Khabib vs Gaethje.

Moving to the point, Chandler was a wrestler at Missouri before they ran to the SEC. Since OSU is one of the premier wrestling programs ever, did anyone actually see this guy in his NCAA career? How would you rate him then and now?

I wrestled him in high school and watched him in college. He was good young, but not a phenom. He was one of those guys that kept getting better throughout his whole career. He ended up as an all American his senior year. He was never the best as a college wrester, but he was a very good one and had a lot of good wins. He’s very tough minded, and a good athlete. As a fighter he is top tier. I think he’ll compete in the top 5 of his class for the title, but he is already in his mid thirties, so he may have slowed a little. He was the champion in Bellator for quite a while, so he should be a fun addition to the division for the fans.
