MORGANTOWN, W.Va. —
Two football players at West Virginia University have been removed from the team, after they were stabbed during a weekend fight.
According to Channel 11’s news exchange partners at TribLIVE, 19-year-old Kenyatta Greene and 19-year-old Tyree Owens were stabbed in the fight early Sunday at High and Wall Streets in downtown Morgantown.
Their wounds were not life-threatening. A third person was also stabbed.
The university said the two were dismissed because they violated team rules.
Greene was a freshman walk-on running back and Owens was a redshirt freshman defensive lineman.
Police arrested an Alderson Broaddus University basketball player, 22-year-old Devin Colston of Baltimore.
