Two young girls in Glenpool running a lemonade stand on their driveway. Creepy pervert dude buys a lemonade and tells them that they can make a lot more money "modeling" for him at his "studio." They decline, but they preserve the cup the guy used and when it's turned over to the police - the DNA on it matches an open rape of a juvenile case they are investigating.

After the police got warrants, they discovered all kinds of kiddie porn on the guys computer (big surprise) and he's already been convicted in Federal Court for that offense. Now, the state will be moving forward with the rape charges.

Quick thinking on the part of those two girls, no telling how many future crimes their actions may have prevented.

He was sentenced to 17 1/2 years in Federal Prison yesterday for the kiddie porn. His sentence was a bit "lighter" because he only trafficked in the stuff and apparently had not produced any of it. (If he did that, he would have been looking at a life sentence.)

Now, he's going to face state charges in regards to the rape and given that the charge is one regarding the forcible rape of a child under 14, I believe he will be subject to enhanced penalties under statutory guidelines. He's going to prison for a couple of hundred years would be my guess when the prosecutor starts stacking the felonies on him.

I'm uncertain. I don't think they've actually ever been identified by the media to protect their privacy. You need to remember that at the time this happened, the guy was still out there walking the streets.

But two girls selling lemonade on their driveway, I don't think I'd be amiss at guessing their ages at between 10-14 when this went down, but that's just a guess on my part.

You what blows me away more then anything is the fact the cops did a DNA test on the cup. Most the time they act like they can't do anything but maybe with it being a child predator they covered all the bases.

I kind of thought along the same lines to some degree. Perhaps it was because they had an open rape case involving a 12 yr old victim, they gave some thought to someone approaching two other young girls. And who knows, perhaps he met the description and/or MO for the other case. Regardless of what caused them to do it, bottom line one less kiddie diddler off the streets.

This guy had a prior... I'm going to go out on limb and guess it didn't take the police long to figure out there was a listed sex offender in the neighborhood (I'm assuming he noticed the lemonade stand because he'd pass by near home anyway).

However it went down, outstanding work all the way around, and good on those two young women.
