We went to the one on 23rd when it opened, and were very underwhelmed. I was eating at republic one day and one of the 'good egg' people was there handing out $20 "try me" cards for Tucker's. I gave him feedback on bun to meat ratio, as well as bun texture and told him I thought they were off. They guy actually listened, said others have said the same, and they have since made changes. I think they are now vastly improved, from where they started, but I agree they aren't best in class, but still good in a pinch (love their fries).
To me, the best representation of what I like is Sid's in El Reno. I really loved bricktown burgers, but they closed. Nic's is awesome, but different than a traditional onion burger. There's a guy from El Reno, who posts here, that has cooked them at events and tailgates before, his are seriously awesome. It's all about really getting the onions fried and caramelized, with that soft white bun and thin juicy patty.
I think I just made myself hungry.
