What do you all think this would do to our economy? (Combined with reduced corporate taxes, reduced income taxes, and repealing Obamacare -- which is mostly a tax)

President Donald Trump on Monday told a range of business leaders that he believes his administration can cut regulations by 75 percent or "maybe more."

At the White House with 10 senior executives, he repeated his campaign pledges to roll back rules on companies, arguing that they have "gotten out of control." A White House spokesman did not immediately respond to a request to comment on which rules Trump will specifically target or how the 75 percent was calculated.

"We're going to be cutting regulation massively," but the rules will be "just as protective of the people," he told reporters at the meeting that included Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk and Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.

Sounds good. You need a minimal level of regulation to protect people against the assh*les in the business world (when I lived in NYC my "social network" included some people in the Wall Street/hedge fund world and some of those guys would f*ck us all over if it meant an extra $20 in their pockets) but those regulations need to be as minimal as possible and should not be hindering growth.

Obviously, it is excellent for business growth. Anything to encourage business investment is a good thing.

Wish they would simplify the tax code, lower tax rates and take out all the rules that only favor the wealthy. All for simplifying and making it easier for mom and pop businesses to do business and allow the multinationals to keep jobs here in America and attract investment and manufacturing jobs.

We also need to protect our environment, as we live in a beautiful country (probably the world's most beautiful -- other than Canada, which is the same piece of land) and don't want it to turn into a sh*thole. (Like most of these third world cultures the left loves to fetish over and import --- in most third world countries, littering is the norm)

Obviously, long regulatory policy papers and red tape doesnt protect the environment, and our EPA has done some nasty stuff themselves.

So there is a balancing act on all of this (being smart about reducing regulations) Conservatives aren't for dirty air or water --- and China has turned itself into an apocalyptic wasteland.

He needs a corresponding cut in people who administer those regulations. Simple things like enforcing littering and dumping laws will do a lot to make the environment look better. Make those caught actually go clean up the mess.

or cut their balls off

EPA

Costs nearly as much to do an impact study to build a county bridge as it does to build the bridge.
