Trump dumps press pool again

I think it's hilarious and the media clearly hasn't learned their lesson. Having said that, at some point the two sides need to have a come to Jesus meeting.

No way. They are scum and have zero interest in covering him honestly. He doesn't need to control what they write or kill them like they do in Cuba and Russia but he doesn't need to humor them in any way. They can get their news from Laura Ingraham.

Seems like a slippery slope that ends up being state run media/propaganda.

That's what we've had the past 8 years. Just look at the campaign coverage for the lastest example. The current occupant of the White House made a habit of trying to discredit news sources that weren't strongly favorable to him for the past 8 years. The MSM has made themselves irrelevant. They can whine but it's the bed they made for themselves.

Press pool can suck a cack. They aren't objective and they definitely aren't there to offer transparency or perform their designed function of playing watchdog. They are always one of two things. A lapdog or a kangaroo court out to hang an opponent.

So, what's the alternative? How do you get an unbiased press corps? What do you guys consider to be a truly unbiased news source? I find myself using Reuters and BBC quite a bit.

Good question.

I think in general the 1st A should protect any free press. Hacks or not.

I do think the White House press corps should be held to a higher standard of no bias. It seems pretty subjective as to how you would determine that. Some kind of watchdog group should st least be grading them on fairness and accuracy.

Or....

Include some internet guys from info wars and huff post just to spice it up.

The press is claiming that it's a matter of national security that they be allowed to follow the President-Elect. Someones got an over inflated ego, and it's not our future president.

Is this the same MSM which waxed eloquently about how they didn't need to accompany Obama and his daughters to the park? It was said he was a private/public person and should have time alone with his family without press coverage. Just one more example of their hypocrisy.

Just report the facts absent the political commentary. Put the political commentary where it belongs, in the opinion column, not in the damn news story.

This idea isn't rocket science.

So, what do you guys use that you all would consider unbiased and just the facts?

Lots of sources and weed through the BS. Surprisingly, some of the "alt-right" sources were the most factual regarding both candidates during the campaign. Reuters and the AP are probably the best for just facts IMO.

Source recordings of statements, transcripts of speeches, look at legislation/regulation/etc. myself.

I pretty much assume all media reports have a bias of some type for the most part. Read some from each side, look for original source documents and evidence....make my own decisions.

Was flying back from Houston last night and subjected to CNN for a bit...not one time did they refer to Donald Trump as "President Elect," not once. The press sucks, and Trump should continue to dump them any chance he has. They will NEVER cover him fairly. He will be accused of every single thing the rodent in chief claimed to be doing but didn't (healing wounds, transparency, etc etc)

Can't believe anyone would question the strategy after the last 8 years when the rodent in chief said what he wanted and castigated anyone who didn't agree with him, remember "he acted stupidly?" The Kenyan also ditched the press from time to time and not a word was said.
