Think about all of the kaziliions of trees that now dot the American Great Plains, trees that were not there before the influx of settlers. Damn white people.

The tree has won two world wars, pulled the country out of the last two recessions, presided over the longest post-war economic expansion in history, and has a vastly better track record at protecting the flora and fauna than the conservative Piss and Wind tree. When time allows, I'll get into the Piss and Wind tree. For now, that ol' Progressiva tree has anchored the forest for a loooong time and keeps changing and while it ain't perfect, it's the biggest, strongest, most adaptable tree in the whole world.
