COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! Get to our seats and a middle-aged couple covered in gooner have the seats right next to ours. After jokingly stating the disappointment about traveling so far to end up next to sooners, we had polite conversation and discovered they've lived in the area for a couple decades after growing up in Oklahoma. Once the game started, it quickly became obvious who they were pulling for (not us).
At halftime, I decided to find out more about them, to see how big of Chippewa fans they are. I asked if this was an average crowd for a Chippewa game. "We don't know, this is our first game to attend." Realizing their douchiness was about to be exposed, they began stating why they came. "We live in Midland, which is only 20 miles away. We only came because a team from Oklahoma is playing." My response to each answer, "uh huh."
So they only came to wear their gooner clothing and yell against OSU. I'm sure glad their fan base cares nothing about the Cowboys.
