I sometimes read "Power Lunch" in the Daily Oklahoman. I knew there would be some talk about OU and the Final4.

Here is a little piece from today and I like Barry's response:

Martin:

I Respectfully disagree with you Berry. OU expects titles that's the goal. OSU expects well...they do cartwheels over runner up trophies. They lead the nation in moral victories. They've got a trophy case full of runner up ribbons. I will credit OU football and basketball for what they did and the enjoyable ride, however, OU is where young people with high expectations come. It has always been and will always be like that. That's what irks us OU fans when we see losses like the ones we've had. You come to OU to win championships plain and simple. Anything less than a ring means you didn't hit your goals. If you don't want standards that high then OU isn't the place for you. Just saying.

Barry Tramel, April 6, 2016:
You're just saying nonsense. You think OU basketball has higher goals than OSU? That's absurd. Football, maybe. But not basketball. This is superiority complex run amok. This is what happens when you lose a game 95-51. You try to pull other people down. Including your own team.

And his prediction for next season:
Guest:
Who has the better basketball season next year: OU or OSU? Do they both make the tournament?

Barry Tramel:
That's an excellent question. Here's a prediction: both make the NCAA Tournament next season. OSU has a solid core returning. OU will have to retool with more defensive emphasis, but I think James will step in and be a big-time player for the Sooners. Better? If I guessed right now, I'd say they're about even, somewhere around 10-8 in the conference.
