The funniest comment was one of the Congressmen told the interviewer that "none of us come to DC to get rich". Funny, most, if not all, leave significantly richer than before the arrived or stayed in private life. If they leave office, most but not all, remain in DC to work as lobbyists or get jobs as highly paid members of corporations, foundations or trade groups (Tom Daschle, Billy Tauzin).
It says a lot when the 5 wealthiest counties in America are those encompassing the DC area. This is the swamp I wanted to see Trump drain. But its clear that the MSM represents that swamp more than it represents me or my beliefs, and will do all it can to protect it.
Not so fast. He does have a criminal past which lends weight to the mental illness possibility.
Oh, I don't think there is any question that he suffered from mental illness. That doesn't change the motive behind the shooting. It just allows him to act violently (murderously) rather than simply arguing/debating/discussing with conservatives on a message board.
Agreed - which is why it's a terribly dangerous game to play the "resistance" card. Can we not at least agree on that point without some squishy moral equivocation?

It's always case by case. Looking at his recent charges (that were dropped for whatever reason), he clearly has issues with impulse control. That can be a product of mental illness or just pure asshole.
He drug his daughter out of a female friend's house, punched her friend in the face, cut the seatbelt in the seat he made the daughter ride in, and then drove like a freak back home, all with his wife in the car. The daughter's boyfriend showed up at the house to confront him. He pulled a shotgun on the boyfriend, struck him in the face with the stock, and then fired a shot in the air.
Could be the behavior of a person with some sort of psychiatric pathology or could just be an angry asshole. It will be interesting to see what is found in his medical records.
