Throwing it all against the wall

I’m not a psychologist but I’ve read about them is my favorite part.

the president doesn’t trust mental health professionals cause he doesn’t have the space to give away his power

i’m sure he’s run into a few who’s sheepskin on the wall made them right and gave them liscence to willful ignorance

the dynamic can get real toxic

"Although I’m not a psychologist"

No shit, Sherlock.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Even those people for whom Donald Trump can do no wrong have to admit there is something “off” about him. Sometimes he doesn’t seem quite right in the head. You admit as much when you say you wish he would stop with the tweets.

I thought the author might be on to something. That doesn’t necessarily mean Trump is mentally unqualified to be President. Hell, look at some of our past leaders! (Bill Clinton, anyone?). But the author’s perspective goes a way to explaining some of Trump’s more obvious “eccentricities.”

He has Diet Coke brain. All sorts of people who were professionals in the 80’s have it now.

That would be another explanation! I’ll tell you a funny story. I have a good friend, a doctor and a physical fitness/healthy eating nut. His only exception is Diet Coke. He drinks them throughout the day. He is convinced it has no effect on him, that he is somehow exempt from having “Diet Coke brain,” as you do eloquently put it. To which my wife replies: “How would he know?”

Secure voters, for example, tend to be tolerant of ambiguity, flexible in their political views, and thus disinclined to embrace any rigid dogmatism, As such, secure voters are most often found in the political center. Insecure voters, on the other hand, may be attracted to the perceived safety of dogmatism and are more likely to be found on the far-left or far-right.

Interesting statement really....

Trump is unguardedly strange at times. He’s either crazy like a fox, or plain nuts. I tend to believe a lot of what he does is an act because he doesn’t have the acolytes around to have his back, like the ex-rodent in chief did. Maybe he doesn’t want them, who knows. Have to have a greater sample size than 15 months though.

I do remember the ex-rodent in chief making mistakes and boasts though, that should/could have called into question his grasp of reality and don’t ever remember seeing an article like this.

Here is the flip side. Kim Jong Un and Iranians don’t have a cultural grasp like we do. Most of us know why the trump is mentally unfit narrative exists, but these foreign leaders probably give it as much weight as toon town does. Toon thinks trump is so nuts that if they had guns pointed at each other toon would put his down and beg for his life because trump is so unhinged so out of his mind and reality that he has no moral compass. Killing toon would be no big deal to a sociopath.

These articles give trump bargaining power.

What if trump is alt right? Why would he care if North Korea was a thriving culture or a giant crater? He wouldn’t so the second they become a nuisance it’s goodbye NK if you follow the cnn/msnbc thought process.
