Mainly because it’s just another year of futility for the program that had pretty amazing run with Eddie. In the 13 seasons since the 2005 sweet 16 we’ve accomplished the following:
1 top 4 conference finish
2 first round byes in our own conference tournament
2 semifinal appearances in our own conference tournament
1 NCAA tournament win
5 different head coaches
Year in and year out this fan base is forced to grasp for every glimmer of hope and moral victory that a given day has to offer, but the overall result is always the same.....
Lower middle or Bottom tier conference finish.
Literally no chance to do anything on a national level
Hoping that the next coach or project player that comes along surprises us and exceeds expectations
