Will probably make its way to the Supreme Court. We can assume the "liberal" judges will automatically uphold the ruling "just to stick it to Trump" (in your mind), but how many "conservative" judges will defy your ruler and stand up for the Constitution? That's the question.
No doubt how the liberal Justices will rule, they are consistently partisan. If this were a Democrat Administration they would rule in favor of Democrats. Conservative Justices are not nearly as partisan and with the exception of Roberts have proven not to make their rulings on politics . IMO Roberts allows politics to enter into some of his opinions. Obamacare being the most egregious.
Yes, of course our leaders have many ways to circumvent the Constitution, and your Dear Leader will exercise every one of them in his rush to dictate. But his “crisis” excuse has been put out to pasture. In the meantime it is great to see there are still some honorable and uncorrupted people with the power and willingness to remind him that’s he’s not a king.
IMO this guy nails it. And his closing comment is the first thing I thought when I heard about the court ruling. It would not surprise me if you now get the war with Iran you have lusted after all this time. Trump’s MAGA can only survive as long it tricks its followers into believing it wins, wins, wins and never loses. This ruling is a devastating loss and he will need to turn your attention to a “win” ASAP to staunch the bleeding. His grift is on the ropes, his enemies will be merciless about his weakness. Trump’s (and your) reaction to the non-free market exploits of foreign governments, exploits which have been explained to you in great detail harm their own citizens far worse than ours, is to drive a bigger wedge, in DJT terms a “yuge” wedge, between us and free markets and liberty than previously existed. Kind of like when Bush the Younger said he had to kill capitalism in order to save it. What’s always struck me as funny is how you had no idea how badly you were being treated by those mean foreign governments. They are ended! Trump will play it out until he's out of options, but in the end he will not have the authority to inflict the damage on the economy he wants. This ruling is arguably the best news in the Trump era.

China currency manipulation, intellectual property theft and subsidizing of key exports to undermine the US has been a problem for decades, Trump is merely the first President to try and address it. The rest were either to scared or were bought off by China to try.
The problem with this statement is Trump's intent to address the situation does not address the situation. It just gives him more power.
Not only does it address some of our trade concerns it helps in other areas as well. We are already seeing China lose manufacturing to other countries like Viet Nam, India ETC. As China loses revenue it weakens it's economy which in turn weakens China's ability to project power world wide. You are so focused on one area you can't see the bigger picture. You get caught up on things like tariffs or the Palestinians you can't see any further. It's all connected but because of your TDS and belief you are an intellectual superior you can't see it but please don't change. I enjoy your board persona.
I'm not going to bother getting into the world-wide macro of Trump's foreign policy (such as it is) in the thread. But I only point out that his attempt to "address some of your trade concerns" only makes things worse. As for my "board persona" I am what I am.
