Police don’t give every speeder a ticket.
DA’s don’t charge every crime they can.
State police in medical MJ states don’t arrest users for a violation of federal law re: drugs.
Obama directed that federal law re: MJ possession, etc. not be enforced where it was legal under state law.
Agree with the policy decision or don’t, but executive enforcement discretion on the whole is a completely ordinary and good idea.
