Things that don’t exist

A voice and vehicle for moderate conservatives and liberals to bridge the extremes of both parties to extinguish the vitriol in this country and to get bipartisan cooperation to move the country forward for the 80% of the country that does not want to have a country that operates at the fringe of the 20%.

A healthy and honest media that still had journalists and reporting integrity and not talking heads presenting editorial views as facts unfortunately gives little chance to break the chain. Watching our media today is just a reality show with your favorite personalities as the entertainment and the reality is the lies they feed you and the true reality is hidden.

Our ability to communicate with each other based on facts and trust is gone.

Did any of those ever exist at any point in American history?

Yes. Institutionalized racism obviously existed in the form of slavery. By extension white privilege existed. It took another 100 years to get to a truly post civil rights America, institutionally soeaking. But that was over a half century ago. It’s a thing of the past, as an institution.

I would also say journalistic integrity existed in a pre-24 hour news cycle America.

The other things, no.

1. Toxic masculinity.
2, white privilege
3. Institutionalized racism.
4. Nazi threat beyond anecdotal statistically irrelevant curiosities.
5. Common sense gun control beyond current laws.
6. Trump/Russian collusion
7. Journalistic integrity.

What else?
8. A @CSCOTTOSUPOKES that doesn’t live with his parents.

1) A politician that doesn’t lie.
2) A politician that doesn’t check the polling before speaking publicly.
3) A politician not filled with greed.
4) A politician who cares for anything but increasing his political power.
5) A politician that is not corrupt (see nos 3 & 4).
6) A politician who will “protect and defend” the Constitution to the death.
7) For that matter a politician who has read the Constitution.
8) A politician with a coherent and consistent political philosophy.
9) A politician that moves to DC and can’t wait to go back home.
10) A politician worth a damn.

He’s barely acceptable. The only two politicians I can think of that are close to being acceptable as politicians are Ron Paul and Tom Coburn. And I have serious reservations about them both!

Tom Coburn thinks you should get the death penalty for having an abortion. Do you agree?

That one school proves systemic racism? I would be Open to being proven wrong but I don’t think this does it.

https://chalkbeat.org/posts/us/2018...-growing-more-integrated-their-schools-arent/

“In 1990, only 3 percent of schools were intensely segregated — that is, at least 90 percent of students were nonwhite — but by 2015, that number had spiked to 17 percent.

That’s not entirely surprising. During that time, a high-profile Supreme Court casemade it more difficult for Seattle to integrate its schools by race. But new research looking at America’s 100 largest cities shows that the diverging trends in Seattle — neighborhoods growing more diverse, as their schools grow more segregated — is not an anomaly.

The analysis finds that, between 1990 and 2015, 72 percent of U.S. cities saw their neighborhoods grow less racially segregated, by one measure. Sixty-two percent saw their schools grow more segregated over that same period.”

Again, raises the question: can CSCOTT even read?
