This is the darling of the majority on this board?

Donald Trump, after hearing speeches at the Democratic convention this week, said Thursday he wanted to "hit a number of those speakers so hard, their heads would spin."

"They'd never recover," he said.

He's an emotional infant. This guy and the nuclear suitcase? Really?

So Trump is less trustworthy than a Secretary of State, one of the most sensitive positions in our government, who uses a personal unsecured server so she can hide her criminal communications.

What information does a foreign government have that they could use to blackmail Hillary?

Trumps got as much or more to lose than anyone, he's not going nuclear unless someone else goes first and he doesn't have a choice.

The nuclear suitcase shtick is emotional infancy. You know damn well Trump is not the darling of this board. He's probably one of the worst presidential candidates ever with one exception, and you're saying she's any better? The one whose private, unsecured email server containing some seriously sensitive information that may have been hacked by the Russians and no telling who else? The one who agreed with the Iraq war, made a HUGE policy mistake in Libya under the guise of stopping "genocide," the one who gave weapons to terrorist groups to overthrow Gaddafi and Assad, the one who supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt? You really trust a shady lying war monger with the nuke suitcase?

You want this for president?

Trump over Hillary any day. Most modern day democrats are disgrace.

I often want to hit politicians and their spinners too. Maybe I should switch my vote to being for him.

This presumption that you must support Trump if you don't support HRC or if you are against Trump you must be for HRC - have some courage and support Johnson.

You don't read this board very often do you? Or have you not had your coffee this morning?

Agree. I haven't noticed you supporting Johnson previously, although I won't claim that as a fact. I'm not fond of either candidate, but if it appears I have to vote Trump to keep from having another 4 years of out of control "progressive" bullshit, I'll vote Trump.

But Johnson has zero shot to win so uh the argument here is which is the lesser of 2 evils? I believe Trump will put smarter people around him than Hillary will because she wouldn't know smart if it hit her in her decrepit snatch

When exactly can we expect to see Trump begin to start surrounding himself with these smarter people we keep hearing about? I keep hearing about them, but haven't seen cavalry arrive yet.

It could be illegal to do this before winning the election although we know from Wikileaks that the democrats talked about giving positions in government to major donors. The operative word is COULD since nobody knows exactly. Title 18, Chapter 29, Section 599 of the USCode says:

Whoever, being a candidate, directly or indirectly promises or pledges the appointment, or the use of his influence or support for the appointment of any person to any public or private position or employment, for the purpose of procuring support in his candidacy shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

I dropped this on the Facebooks yesterday:

"About half of people tell me this vote will go to Trump. The other tell me it will go to Hillary. Neither of these opinions are even half true.

My vote will go for the only option I believe is conscionable.

I take this vote seriously. Voting is the right most repeated in the constitution. If by only a judgment of volume, it is your most precious of rights. My choice, not yours.

This vote isn't selfish. Defending everyone's choice is something for which I'm willing to die. A choice my family has defended for generations. It will also not be stolen by your binary fallacy. It will not be peacefully taken from me or anyone else.

This vote isn't a privilege or "showing privilege." Voting is an undeniable right and in it's purest form is merely a right of UNMANIPULATED choice. A forced or limited choice is hardly free.

This vote is for me and my child(ren) whom I hope aren't burdened with the growing hypocrisies of bipartisan bullying when their time comes to cast a vote from heart and mind."

It actually was effective enough to have a few people share it and some even say it helped them get over the hurdle of fear.

There are a few states where you could vote for a third party candidate and it not effect the general election, Oklahoma being one of them. Sadly though it really is a lessor of two evils in most states. Until a third party starts winning some seats in congress running for President is a pipe dream. There's not one third party option out there that can win enough votes in the electoral college to get elected. It would be great television to watch how the Presidency would be bought if this were to play out but at the end of the day it would be either Trump or HRC some third party candidate would be left on the outside looking in. Got to get some folks in the House otherwise any third party presidential candidate is just wasting yours and their time.

To me it really comes down to what do I put more weight on, words or deeds? There is no doubt that HRC plays the political word game much better than Trump. She has proven that she will say and do most anything to try to be liked and get your vote. However when given power her actions have proven much different than her words and not to beat a dead horse but it's highly disturbing that someone who will be in charge of the nuclear codes has shown such reckless disregard for securing private and classified information that she would literally been fired from most any private sector job. I've literally have had agents fired because they were forwarding their work email to their home email address. If it's serious enough for Metlife to can someone it's definitely serious enough for you not to be President of the USA. Now I believe Trump will say almost anything to get media attention, many things he says I don't actually agree with, I've also watched more than a few of his press conferences and what he says vs. what is reported is astonding. Yes there are some issue with how he's handled his business and stiffing smaller contractors that bothers me quite a bit, only because I've been stiffed by a large corporation before and it almost put the company I worked for out of business. Now it was our owners mistake for putting all his "eggs" in one basket but as much as I blame the large company for stiffing us I also blame our owner for being a moron. That being said I do believe his goal is to win everything and take advantage of whatever rules are at his disposal to do so. It is only my gut feeling and no one else needs to believe as I do, but my gut is that if he wins the presidency he will succeed in making things work again. It's not going to be some utopia society but I do believe he'll have more success in getting things done than she will. I don't have any fear of him having the nuke codes, I don't think he's racist or sexist, I think he's equally offensive to folks he doesn't like regardless of race, religion or sex. I believe if he thinks you can get the job done he'd hire you.

It's not my vote so anyone can do whatever they want to with their vote. I'm all for a third party option, I'd just like a legit shot to win the presidency. My opinion is to get some traction in congress first. Win states first than try for the presidency. I'm sure libertarians know what they are doing, had tremendous success so far.

And with this the two party system is the winner... congrats you are doing more for the status quo with this attitude than either party could ever ask for.

You know, in an age where we have 300 digital RB channels and nearly unlimited internet options, a 2 party system seems horribly outdated.

When you get down to it, I don't agree with even half of either party's platform, but like everyone I get sucked into hating on the candidate I despise more. It's really a pathetic set of choices before us.

Trump is, in philosophy, a reluctant interventionist. We would not be embroiled in the foreign state of affairs we are if he were president after 9-11. He also would not have set the state of Iran on a pathway to nuclear weaponry. Don't tell me about children. Children are in charge now, HRC is one of them, and they have literally set the world on fire.

The only way to defeat the two party system is from the bottom up. In an age of instant communication there is no reason this isn't the best time to coordinate local candidates that the silent majority could get behind. The state and federal legislatures have how many libertarians?

I'd prefer a parliamentary system myself. And I'd go into the process for selecting a POTUS but everyone likely would hate it so why waste the time and arguments?
