Does anybody believe that upon Trump's election, the puppet masters had to speed up their ultimate plans and thus, making themselves more likely to make mistakes? I've thought their approach they've used for decades has been the frog in boiling water theory. By the time Americans realize what is actually happening, it would've already been too late. I think Americans woke up just a little too soon and elected Trump to slow/put a wrench in their plans and hopefully, if we're lucky enough, possibly reverse or at least alter course.

I say this for the following reasons. Outside of Obama's myriad of shenanigans (political targeting via IRS, CIA, FBI, etc.), I've been most interested in the suppression of free speech and dissent. It seems like they are being rather brazen with what they're doing currently in the face of today's political winds. I wouldn't call it a hail mary as they still hold a lot of power and influence over impressionable Millennials and minorities (and ToonTown), not to mention our courts and federal bureaucracy. However, the following examples make me believe we are in a covert war right now that will be more overt over time. In the past, I don't remember things like this happening in such rapid succession.
  • UK detaining and deporting American e-journo Brittany Pettibone
  • UK detaining and deporting Canadian e-journo Lauren Southern
  • London Mayor Sadiq Khan drumming up support in Austin, TX at SXSW to lobby Facebook to censor free speech (or what they call hate speech: speech the left hates)
  • Youtube suppressing pay and clicks for anybody who doesn't identify as a "progressive"
I truly wonder if HRC would've won, how would their tactics have differed? They are going so far left at a rate I can't even keep up with. I understand it's driven by their base but holy hell. I guess today's PA election will tell us something.

I studied abroad in the UK in college in the 90s (one of my best life experiences), lived in London after college, wanted to move there.

It’s changed so much, so quickly. Instead of 1984 being the UK’s warning, it has unfortunately became their model.

Austin is my old city — it also changed unbelievably fast in under a decade, from a cosmic Texas liberalism (live and let live - very laid back, libertarian) into something else.

It’s very sad, as Austin is beautiful, some of the nicest land and sunsets around, the old school Austin-ites are amazing people (like I said — old school Texas liberals, very different from Cali liberals).

It makes sense that Khan would give his “powerfull” speech on limiting speech in Austin.

I said months ago we are in a civil war, it is currently being waged without guns. It is not enough to win at the poll, the goal is to win at the poll and to wipe the other party out forever at all costs. Values change by the second based on the need for political spin, control, and manipulation. If we can not brainwash you, we are going to destroy you socially, economically, and strip you of all power and hush you.

My grandkids are phucked, I truly believe we could see another civil war waged with weapons. Laws are no longer enforced, and civil servants flip the feds the bird and get away with it, and judges are even supporting it. We are no longer a nation of laws, and our media is a disservice to this country because it is all propaganda, our free press may go down in history as the biggest enemy of the state. We have no morals and ethics in this country, none. The FBI, CIA, and DOJ are literally an enemy of the state. SOB's can not govern fairly or with impartiality. Perhaps all 3 need to go. Maybe Washington should just build us a national defense apparatus and the states can fend for themselves and form whatever coalitions they want among themselves.

We either split up in to different nations or regions with different governance and laws, or one day this very young country will be waging a civil war again, and I personally believe some want our guns gone because they know some in this country will not tolerate our Constitution and this country's founding values being applied in a bastardized manner.

I have been asking myself these past few months if I would be willing to fight and die in a civil war in this country to try to protect the country I grew up in. It looks more realistic with each passing day. The sad part it will have to be the moderates to take out all the extremist views, and the extremists on both sides are full of the most hate, it is scary. If Trump gets railroaded out of office with no real proof or material charge, it may not be a civil war, but blood will be spilled. Trump was elected to push back against the establishment, they push him out for no real cause I predict there will be a huge push back from some segment of the civilian population. The softball game in which the politicians were shot might look tame. It might become open hunting season on Washington.

We forget we are a very young country, and we forget history repeats itself.

I have spent far less time on this board recently because it is too depressing, it mirrors what is happening in our country and what is happening looks pretty ugly to me and it projects horribly on the future of this country not economically, but socially.

I hope things change for the better, but I see major civil unrest coming if the political extremists and MSM continues to fan the flames of hate, divisiveness, and misapplication of our laws and constitution, this could all very easily light the fuse of some serious casualties. It is coming, some people are not going to just sit idly and watch this country go to the shitter. People think this country would never degenerate to that, well this Country thinks it invented winning and waging war.

A few #facts: 1) Obama did not have enough votes to win a second term, 2) Hillbilly almost stole the election against Trump, 3) Many corrupt Fed, state, and local politicians are going to be on trial soon, many going to PRISON and Gitmo!, 4) Conservatives are going to win more seats in the Senate and house, 5) President Trump is going to win a second term, 6) Trump appoints 3 more supreme court justices, 7) U.S. and Israel discover an abundance of oil, start exporting. This pays off U.S. debt. 8) Roe versus Wade is over turned! Just a few items for ClinToon and Sys and friends to mull over!
