Kinda surprised I haven't seen much talk on this yet--anybody still watching? Anybody still give a crap about what happens to the remaining characters?

I've read internet rumors about who Negan introduces to Lucille, but there's been several theories out there, so it may be anyone's guess. In that extended commercial that shows a bit of the aftermath, and the right side of Rick's face is pretty bloody. Maggie was kneeling to his right, then it was Abraham. I'm not sure it matters, necessarily, as any number of things could happen, but it may be an indicator that someone (or more than one person?) to his right gets whacked.

I'm done with the buildup and predictions, though--just ready for the premiere.

On a different note, how are they going to justify that some dude (the king of "The Kingdom" I guess??) just happens to have a docile tiger sitting next to him on his "throne" with biting the sh*t out of everyone there?? Any fans of the comic books care to take on that one?

My prediction, since the end of last season, has been that Abraham would be the one who dies. Historically, they have set up the deaths of main characters by focusing on them right before they died. They did this at the end of last season with Abraham leaving Rosita for Sasha and with his friction with Eugene, followed by the 2 of them forgiving each other. I have heard rumors that the character who dies is the guy who is 2 people to Abraham's right (4 over from Rick). I am purposely not typing his name to avoid spoilers. I think it will be Abraham, though.b

Also, after Negan hits the victim the first time, he says, "took it like a champ". I figure that means that his victim is male (I think it would be a bit over the top for him to bash a female's head into pulp).

As to the tiger, I have not read the comics, but my understanding is that the Tiger was liberated from a local zoo and has now been trained to eat zombies, but is not aggressive toward humans. I guess that is no less believable than a zombie apocalypse. :).

I heard two people actually die not one. My guess is Glen dog and Abraham. Thanks for posting I need to make sure the DVR is set up to record that this weekend.

Don't you say a damn unkind word about Shiva! :p

I'll give you the "comic book" story....you can buy in or not. This is a story involving zombies and whatnot though.

Shiva grew up in captivity often in close proximity. Ezekial was a zookeeper. Ezekial saved Shiva's life by not reporting that Shiva attempted to attack him. Over time, they developed a bond that survived the zombie outbreak and Ezekial went back to the zoo, rescued Shiva, and they have been together every since.

Shiva is one of my favorite "characters" from the comic books. Nothing cooler than a zombie fighting tiger in my book.

Thanks for the rundown, JD. I kinda had a feeling you might chime in with some details! (And, I get your point about suspension of disbelief considering the zombie theme). Okay--I feel a bit better about this story line now--looking forward to a tiger biting the sh*t out of a zombie hoard!
