Pope better be careful, next thing you know they will be marching on him.
He's also pro-life so he wasn't allowed to stand in the march.
Pope is also not Madonna, Debra Messing, Alec Baldwin, Snoop Dog, Meryl Streep, etc...he does not have near the moral ground, knowledge, or political savvy to weigh in on these issues. Only certain people are qualified to weigh in on these matters.

How do you translate that into "we should all support Trump"?

The Pope is consistently misquoted by our media. To read our media you would think he is a card-carrying Socialist. He abhors Socialism. In fact I've read stuff dating back to the 1850s where the Pope (at that time) talks about the evils of Socialism and attempts to redefine the family, it's fascinating. Also funny how the media ignores him when he talks about marriage and gender.
Well, Vatican City is surrounded by a huge wall. Easy to extrapolate from there!
