These four Eastern European countries decided several years ago to not let in any unemployable military-age-male refugees (unlike Germany etc) -- and also built fences / physical barriers to prevent it.

  • Poland
  • Hungary
  • Czech Republic
  • Slovakia

The four countries took severe heat from Merkel, EU leadership , George Soros (he's Hungarian), and Corporate media --- but their never wavered (and had strong support from voters).

None of the countries (or their civilians) are regretting their wise decisions now! They helped preserve their long-term safety and stability.

About the Visegrad Group

"The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia have always been part of a single civilization sharing cultural and intellectual values and common roots in diverse religious traditions

-- which they wish to preserve and further strengthen."

Visegrad Nations: ‘We Will Not Yield to EU Blackmail over Migrant Redistribution’

30 Mar 2017

At a summit in Warsaw, Poland, leaders of the Central European Visegrad Group have said they will not yield to “blackmail” from the European Union (EU) over the forced redistribution of asylum seekers.

Polish Prime Minister Szydło: “The Visegrad group, including Poland, will never agree to blackmail and will not agree to such terms being dictated to them.”

Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin backed Szydło’s statements at the summit saying Avramopoulos “did not notice that the government in Poland has changed”.

Poland’s position was joined by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico who said it was “blackmail” to tie EU funding to migration policy.

People around the world just need to tell the political left and the globalists to F off. It's a fairly easy thing to do and more people need to do it, starting with Republicans in the United States House and Senate.

I think if they want multiculturalism so damned bad they should go live in Saudia Arabia or Egypt or some other Arab nation.

Oh, and they should also report back on what kind of privilege they find while there.

Where are your "Christian values" the Republicans espouse? "Do unto others as you do unto me." " As you do to the least of these my brethren you do so unto me."

I'm sorry, my charity starts at home and supports the local needs (such as the animal shelters, food banks, and homelessness) that our government ignores in order to get involved in these geopolitical messes.

I also remember 'Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto God that which is God's.' I give my charity directly from myself as an act of compassion to the least of my brethren as opposed to having Caesar compel others to do it on my behalf.

Who's really failing their Christian values?

You sound like a real pro on the topic. A visionary man seeing things before others.

Speak widely so that we may learn from your wisdom.

Sorry but, "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's," means that Caesar is owed nothing. It was a trap question masterfully handled by Christ.

Exactly. So those who say we should have the US government act as the go-between for our Christian charity are totally wrong. That was a call to individual action or collective action through a church - not through the government. I bet @dnhall would be the first to yell at the lack of separation between church and state if the government started acting as an arm of any church.

Sorry, misunderstood you.

I'm of the belief that government has hurt charity immensely. We have welfare programs and redistribution via taxation. The fact that people get a higher tax return than what they actually paid in is completely insane to me. Medicare and Social Security have shifted the care of ones own parents from that of the children to the state. Empathy for the elderly is low. It's sad.

This is why you'll likely never see a flat tax or transaction tax or any simplification of the tax system. Taxation is the real power in Congress and they won't give that up.

Rand Paul couldn't muster any support for his health care proposal since it took much of the control of the funds away from the leaders of Congress.
