I know it is easy to lose our first 2 offensive possessions in the quagmire of feces that we saw from the offense after the first quarter. But, the offense was really humming early, and I have to assume that the same person/people was/were calling the plays throughout the entire. game. Now, I can certainly think of multiple reasons for the disparity, and figure that some or all of the following reasons can explain it.
If improvement is made, on both ends, this team is going to be good enough to beat any team remaining on their schedule.
- The first 2 series were scripted and not called on the fly
- Mason is a young QB and young QBs are going to be inconsistent
- The UT defense made adjustments to what we were doing early
- We just got lucky early on
- Mason really was hurt and this had an effect on his play later in the game
- Other factors not listed
