The more they stay the same. The year was 1969. Fresh in everyone’s memory were the assassinations of MLK and Bobby Kennedy, the violence at the Altamont Free Festival, the onerous Tet offensive in VietNam and the oppression of the Prague Spring.. The Stones came out with a song that defined the times, Gimme Shelter. If anything it is more relevant today. What I time I’ve lived through.
