The Dems just lost yet another election

One of these days, the Democrats are going to win one of these elections and it will officially be all over but the crying for president Trump. Why? Because the MSM will say so, that's why.

That guy is proving to be a flash in the pan.

I liked him until he got his own site and surrounded himself with a bunch of lefties and has shifted from pure math analysis to providing a leftist slant/interpretation of any and all data.

Ossoff was such an outsider, he could not even vote for himself in Georgia. How arrogant is that? It should be illegal to run if you can not meet the requirements to be eligible to vote.
Are you kidding me? He could not vote in his own race?

He lives in Georgia, but not in the district voting. Therefore he wasn't allowed. I agree that if you don't live where you would represent, you shouldn't be allowed to run for that office.

Of the $$ raised for his campaign, 95% was from out of state. This caused people that may have sat out to instead go vote. I think this really helped Handel more than anything.

As for turnout, very heavy early voting. Yesterday had torrential rain most of the day and yet still strong voting numbers, especially for an off cycle special election. There were no other measures, races, local elections to add. Very weird seeing one item. Took 10 seconds total to vote.

I for one am glad it's over. The amount of advertising done for this election was off the charts.

538 (Silver's site) said that nearly $60M was spent on that one election. It worked out to nearly $200 per vote.

What I took as most interesting from his site (when you analyze without the full Dem slant) was the comparison's with the SC race. Seems like the Repubs showed up because they thought they could lose. So in effect, the money, advertising and news coverage may have helped carry the day for the red team, whereas in SC (which had zero coverage...I'm not sure I even knew there was an SC special election yesterday until yesterday) had almost no turnout and allowed a more enthused Dem base to close the gaps. However, I don't think either of these outcomes will correlate to 2018. If the Dem's don't find a platform beyond 'Trump is bad', they won't make much headway in the Senate or House.

Styx analysis from last night, and early predictions for 2018 and 2020.

Recall: his election predictions was far more accurate than any corporate media talking head / pollster.

One other democrat postmortem lament. They couldn't get their Millennial base out to vote. Many still live at home in GOP houses. Dem phone calls reaching out for "Johnny or Susie Bernie-voter" were hung up on by their parents and mail sent to the houses was thrown into the trash unopened.

That is some irony, make a wonderful Saturday Night Live skit but we will never see it. The MSM brainwashes our youth, and because the youth are not self sufficient and living at home Mom and Dad exercise their right in there own home to censor materials. Only in America.

What an interesting eco system, be careful young people of which eco system you destroy or change, it might require you to fully go on the government teet or take responsibility for your decisions.
