I disagree with that as the best reason (although I wholeheartedly agree with the statement), because it remains to be seen whether Trump will actually do anything about the border problem.

If Trump wins and the GOP loses the senate, it will limit things he can get done.

But by at least being more able to speak truth to the American people (we've been lied and pandered to for decades by both political parties), he'll be able to put pressure on Congress to act ---- and the rising power of populism across the US is not going away (adding more pressure to congress).

On the other hand, Trump too could succumb to the power of "the establishment" once he gets in office. But it seems like he has a better chance of resisting it than most.

I haven't been following either closely.

Anyone in business who accumulates what he has knows how the system works and how to be successful in the system. I have no doubt he would figure out the political system fairly quickly and how to maneuver within it. He may never have a smooth political demeanor but will quickly learn how to work behind the scenes to get what he wants done. I expect him to have equally sharp appointees doing what he wants. Will be fun to see if he can transform DC and to what extent. Of course, this assumes a Trump win.
