funds are on their way to Uncle Sam and Cross-Eyed Mary. Managed to keep my April check under 5 figures this year, so time for a whisky.

Just finished mine. Lost child tax credit completely this go around which cost be $2k. Thought my withholding were plenty this go around but was wrong.

Good news though, my last several paychecks this year won’t have SS taxes, so that’s pretty cool. First time for me. Also, next year I get child tax credit back thanks to the Trump tax cuts.

Would be nice to be able to specify where your taxes would be spent.

A friendly reminder, if those awful Trump/GOP tax cuts are searing your conscience you can always pay exactly what you feel is your duty to pay.

If You would like to make a patriotic gift to reduce the publicly held debt, you can write a check to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service and send it to this address:

Attn Dept G
Bureau of the Fiscal Service
P. O. Box 2188
Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188

Or if you would like to make a contribution to support current spending, you can do so with a check made out to United States Treasury and sent here:

Gifts to the United States
U.S. Department of the Treasury
Funds Management Branch
P.O. Box 1328
Parkersburg, WV 26106-1328

I have always felt the system should be set up on a calendar that looks like:

1. November 1-3: All citizens receive a notation/bill of their pro-rata share of the balanced budget that they must pay

2. November 4-6: The elections are held while the bill is fresh on everyone's mind.

:)
