Deaths by semi automatic rifles are incredibly politicized. Any death sucks, especially via the actions of another human. But why is the use of one object (rifles) seen as more problematic than say opioids, knives, illegally obtained handguns in Chicago? It's beginning to look like FBI background checks, when one buys a gun, should return as NICS "delayed" if the buyer is a registered Democrat.
