Any tips/recommendations?

We're only there about 3 days, so I wanna do Silver Dollar City (should we do 1 day or 2 days?), hit up the Titanic museum, then kind of feel our way around on some of the shows/attractions. We're staying at the Grand Country Inn (a Groupon discount) which has some water park features, so that will occupy some time as well.

If we had more time & stayed in a different location, I'd like to do some fishing/boating at Table Rock, but I just don't think we'll have enough time when compared to the other things out there.

Also, as far as getting there, any concerns with roads being washed out? Should I head up all the way to Springfield? (starting out from Yukon)

Thanks for any thoughts!

Branson Landing is a fun place with shops and restaurants. If you do Silver Dollar City for two days it might be cheaper to buy a season pass. We go with my wife's family once a year and just buy a season pass. They love eating breakfast there every morning. Titanic Museum is good. They have a lot of putt putt golf and we usually play a course every year one of the nights. You could also do some fishing in the river there by Bass Pro shops. If you rent a boat go up the river towards the Dam a bit and the trout fishing is fun. Most are really small though. Be careful though because you can't use power bait within so many feet or miles of the dam.

I will be there the 18th through the 21st this year. I am also interested how some of you get there. Last year we rode with my wife's mom and step dad and they went through AR but that kinda looks confusing. I am thinking of hitting up 44 to MO then Drop down from Springfield to Branson this year since we will drive up by ourselves.

We go to Branson often. 1 day is plenty at SDC just make sure you go early, be there when the park opens. 2 days gets pretty lengthy but could be needed if you are into rides. On busy times some of the rides have over an hr wait. They sell a park buster express pass if you are interested in rides that lets you go to the front of the line. If you are interested in a fishing guide, I have a personal friend that guides Taneycomo and Table Rock he is very good. The trout fishing on Taneycomo is outstanding. Dixie Stampede is a fun show and includes dinner. There are a couple zip lining courses that are fun. The golf is outstanding, there are several incredible courses. Shopping is excellent. Branson landing is very cool. Several putt putt courses and go kart tracks.

As far as getting there. Hands down the best way is to go I-44 to springfield. Do not go all the way into springfield. Make sure to take the bypass that goes around springfield. I think it is exit 69 to MO 360. That will take you to MO 65 which goes strait into Branson.

Appreciate all the info, guys--thanks! I'd like to do the fishing thing, but I think the family (especially since we're now taking my mother as well) probably will be out on that. I also appreciate the suggestions on the route. Thank ya!

I think if you buy SDC passes from a certain place you can get 2 days for 1 price if on a certain day (wed/thurs maybe?).

Just found this:
Visit select Price Cutter, Country Mart, Ramey, Smitty's, Summer Fresh and Bistro Market locations in Missouri and purchase a one-day ticket to Silver Dollar City for just $40 plus tax (adult or child). Tickets can be purchased any day, but can only be used on any one Thursday the park is open June 11 through August 6, 2015.

Plus, upgrade your ticket to a 2015 Silver Dollar City season pass for ONLY $45 (plus tax) before you leave the park!

Harlem Globetrotters (one of their groups) is now at SDC. Be an enjoyable show to catch. Also, I highly recommend Big Cedar Lodge for accomodations. It is so nice with so much to do , besides SDC, you really won't want to leave to go in to the cesspool that is Branson traffic.
