Syrian Gas Attack launched from Saudi Arabia

Plausible, but not sure it passes the smell test. I'm always leery of the "the administration isn't showing you the facts behind their accusation" while using anonymous source information to do the exact same thing.

Assad using them doesn't pass the smell test either. And that article is in the same boat. He has nothing to gain in a war he's winning with that action. Plus the rebels apparently got the Sarin they used in 2013 from Saudi Arabia. Putin's not an amateur, no way I believe he was on board with that action.

When it comes to the smell test. A frame job gets a whole hell of a lot closer to passing than Assad doing it. We've already seen it in 2013. Oh, and add in Spicer's slip-up twice in one day stating the goal is to destabilize the Middle East..... something stinks. Trump is a neocon puppet right now. If I wanted this crap I would have voted for Hillary.

Don't disagree at all, but I think a rebel attack on the town is more plausible than a Saudi/Israeli one. Not likely our war mongering government would be honest about either.

I took it from the article that it was still the rebels via a drone. They just took off from a Saudi/Israeli field.

I read it as a Saudi/Israeli group supporting the "rebels" and launching from their base in Jordan. Really, probably tomato/tomahto at this point.

Google: Nayirah Testimony.

I forgot all about this!! Great reminder. I believe we are seeing the same thing now with the seven year old Syrian girl the media is telling people to follow in order to gain perspective on the atrocities. She even has a book deal now!!! 100% propaganda driven by US intelligence imo.

I'd feel better about that story if they identified the Russian social media accounts and showed us. Easy right? Nope, just his opinion on how it effects the alt right.

Fake news

Would it be logical for the Saudi's to team up with the Israeli's and bomb Syria? There are so many things wrong with that line of thinking.

Makes much more sense that it was Syria gassing Syrians and the Russians trying to cover for them (or cover for themselves).

Team up and bomb Syria? You mean team up and use chemical warfare in Syria to draw the US into conflict with Assad to remove him from power? Although I don't think it's likely, it's a very plausible scenario.

-Seems like it would be in Israel's best interest for Syria to continue being a mess. If there is civil war in Syria, the 2 sides are so busy dealing with each other that they can't turn their aggression toward Israel.

-If Assad is removed from power, there is potential there for ISIS to gain control of Syria. Obviously, that would be a very bad outcome for Israel.

-Saudi Arabia has a lot to lose by working closely with Israel. If they participate in something like this, and it becomes public knowledge, their citizens will not be happy. It will also hurt relations with surrounding Arab countries.

I'm guessing you aren't very familiar with the Saudi-Israeli relationship. Both have a strong interest in Iran and Iranian influence in Syria. Assad is a small fish. If the US is involved with the removal of Assad, the replacement government would likely be a US friendly one. This would very much please SA and Israel as a buffer to their biggest threat in Iran.

Probably equally given the "failures" of our intelligence has had. Are we still searching for the Iraqi WMD?

To be fair, the CIA DID contradict Dumbya and Cheney's narrative back then. Joe Wilson, Valeria Plame, Scooter Libby, etc? What more could the intelligence community do than publish an editorial in the NY Times that said in actuality there was no nuclear threat from Iraq?

@ThorOdinson13 do you believe PUtin's crew over our military and intel community? Is our military that sorry?

I believe our intel over Russia to the same degree that I trust the guy with the cardboard sign at the bottom of the off ramp more than I trust my ex wife.

I don't know who to trust. I'm leaning toward Puttin because Assad doing it doesn't pass the smell test. I want to see this actually investigated before action is taken. They were wrong in 2013 when they jumped the gun.

Sorry, perhaps I'm overly cautious. But war isn't something you should take lightly as the neocons do.

The point was the seven year old being used as a front for propaganda. Not MC

And now this seven year old is an expert in air warfare.

K... so she's real but that tweet isn't.

I've never taken a minute to read up on the 2013 deal -- I heard conservatives raise hell that Obama didn't punish Assad for crossing the red line (still posts on here btw) so I've assumed it was Assad. Does "wrong in 2013 when they jumped the gun" mean that Assad was framed and that's accepted as fact? Or is this what Putin and breitbart are saying?

Says the UN after investigating and obtaining eyewitness accounts. I want to say some rebels even took responsibility saying it was an accident but I can't remember for sure. Don't care to look thatbup though.

Or it's a deleted tweet and supporters for war are calling it fake. Her tweets are real. I question if it's actually a seven year old girl making them.
