Swiss bank Banque Pictet admits hiding $5.6 billion of Americans' money from IRS

Banque Pictet agreed to pay about $122.9 million as part of an agreement with U.S. prosecutors.

Maybe I missed the original story on this but it would seem to me the real story would be who the Americans are that were intentionally hiding the money. No doubt with that kind of money there are very influential people on the list.

Between 2008 and 2014, the bank had 1,637 accounts on behalf of American clients, who collectively evaded approximately $50.6 million in U.S. taxes, the DOJ said.

The Pictet Group maintained about 529 offshore entities for the U.S. accounts in question during the relevant time frame.
