Because the government is making the department move closer to where agriculture is.

Look at these hippies! What in the world do they know about agriculture? Fire them and hire people that look like they could wear a pair of striped overalls.

I'm sure they are scouring the country for an Obama judge to block this move.

Acting ERS Union Vice President Kevin Hunt called the decision "cold-hearted" and said it "highlights [Perdue's] disregard for the rights and well-being of employees,"

Countless companies move divisions and units all over the country/world monthly. Those employees either make the move or look for other work. Same should happen with these USDA employees most of whom have probably never seen where food is grown.

JFC, this decision wasn’t about the employees. It’s about the people they serve. Great decision.

I have an idea, if they do not want to move they can always quit. Exactly the same decision that those in the private sector have to make when thier place of employment relocates. At least in their case their employer is not relocating to another country to avoid massive government regulation and taxation.

The bigger concern that I have is the relative number of white males to women and minorities in that pic. 7 white men, 1 black man, and no women. Sad.

The frumpy guy on the right looks like a would-be fertilizer bomber.

I think the one in red is a woman although she has been rode hard.
