I have the same warm feelings about seeing Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, and Ferrante & Teicher in old Gallagher in my pre-NAS Norfolk Viet Cong days.

Seriously, have his "Sailing to Philadelphia" and some Dire Straits CD's; good stuff.

As a college frosh I drive down to New Orleans with some buddies to see Al Hirt. An experience I'll never forget.
