Ancestry has the Cherokee Chief Oconosotota "Stalking Turkey" as my 7th great grandfather. His mother was Shawnee.

He had four wives so I am not sure which one is my grandmother. One of his wives was English.

One of my haplogroups showed a Native American gene from the western tribes.

It confused me but maybe it was from the Shawnee tribe.

My haplogroup is Viking. My paternal great grandfather was born in Tennessee. Everything points to Upper South Melungeon tri-racial isolate. Much lying went on to gov officials because ancestors didn't want to pack thier bags for Oklahoma after President Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act of 1830.
