Sunbathers live longer than those that don't

Sounds like Vitamin D is more important than just the sun exposure. I need to see the data, but to say limited sun-exposure is on the same level as smoking sounds off to me.
 
I didn't click on the link because I prefer to make pronouncements without being bothered with knowledge, but could this be one of those 'correlation doesn't equal causation' things? People who sun bathe perhaps tend to be more fitness conscious and/or lead more active lives than the average slob? The takeaway might be that if you want to live long, then do what sunbathers do minus the sunbathing.
