I personally would begin to question my respect for a source that pinned such a date if it didn’t come to fruition....that’s just me.
She's a credible journalist relying on DOJ sources. I have no idea if it happens this week but he
will be exonerated. I believe the following to be correct details, and have said so for 2 years - never changing my stance.
the motive:
* Transition team incoming National Security Advisor, 3 star General Flynn - is committed to "depoliticizing the intelligence apparatus" and thus was plainly an existential threat to the politicized intelligence apparatus we see on full display in the spy gate coup scandal.
* Obama hated Flynn and begged Trump not to hire him because (see above).
the set up:
* While Flynn was on vacation in the Dominican Republic, the Obama Administration strategically expels Russian diplomats for "election interference" (thus, its everlasting importance as narrative canon).
* Naturally, these expelled diplomats want to talk to new admin to take its temperature on the expulsion. So while on vacation, and likely while drunk on vacation, and likely while using a shitty Dominican connection that kept dropping the call(s) were monitored by US intelligence.
* Comey admits to taking advantage of new team's politics naivety by sending agents to talk to Flynn outside of normal (legal) protocol.
* During this interview, exculpatory evidence, and agents concluding that Flynn did not lie were obtained and later left out of the case against Flynn. This evidence exists and is likely what Maria's source is referring to - we can assume her DOJ sources are telling her it's powerful enough to trigger an exoneration this week. I avoid timing predictions because its so fluid, but we will see won't we?
* His case is inextricably intertwined with the treasonous coup attempt, and the timing of his exoneration will coordinate with elements of the Durham investigation (Durham has recently been adding various prosecutorial specialists, including a RICO specialist).
So I have no idea on specific timing, but you may quote me on these:
1. Flynn will be fully exonerated (not pardoned).
2. Durham may or may not even issue a formal report, but will deliver multiple indictments this summer.
3. (BONUS) If nobody else, John Brennan will receive an indictment for "treason" among other charges.
