I read a serious storm has hit texas oklahoma and arkansas.I hope and pray that every one on this board and in the affected areas is safe.
We put in a tornado shelter this year. Government had a program that paid half so I took advantage of it and with life being what it is, I figured putting in a tornado shelter would insure I would never need it.
Got a little concerned Tuesday night when the news was saying there was rotation over our area but nothing touched the ground. We've had nothing but huge amounts of rain and wind. We live about 20 minutes west of Fort Worth.
Interested in how to get government to pay half? I’d like to get something from those sobs for once.We put in a tornado shelter this year. Had a tornado come through several years ago and there was some kind of disaster relief fund. Friend told me about it and I got on the list. had to jump through some hoops, have the county come out declare we were not in a flood zone, filled out several questionnaires they sent me and this February they sent me the approval to have one installed where they would pay half of the cost up to $6000 total with the government paying up to $3000. I paid everything upfront, had the county come out again verifying that it was installed and getting a GPS coordinate on it. Sent the forms in and they sent me a check. All in all the process took about 6 years.

Only 6 years? Government efficiency at work.
Yea and some in this country want government to control their healthcare and everything else in their lives. SMFH
The more you get from the government, the less choice you have.Would you rather have not gotten anything from the government? Bitch and moan some more
Exactly. If it takes 6 years to see the doctor I should be thankful.Would you rather have not gotten anything from the government? Bitch and moan some more
