and one of them is selling the aircraft the state owns. He's a pilot himself and owns a Cirrus. He doesn't understand King Air's I guess. surprising. They'll be some guys looking for a job it looks like.

Is it cheaper to just join a group like NetJets rather than owning the aircraft? How often is that King Air used?
 
unknown on the utilization...but I bet 80% of the trips are within 500 miles...probably less. He says it costs $1,000,000 a year to operate...you can make things look any way you want if that's your purpose. Netjest is the most expensive way to go.

Wouldn't surprise me about NetJets. It was just the first alternative to come to mind. I'm not in the private jet club (although I did work a $8/hr job at Wiley Post Airport many years ago).
