Sprinkler head question

Extended my back patio and added a pergola last summer, now one of my lawn sprinklers covers quite a bit of the porch and now where my grill sits. It's not really hurting anything, but is there an easy fix to re-position the head to where it stops where the patio begins? I've searched online and all i can find are links telling me to dig it up.

look to see if you can see what model it is and google it. I did sprinkler repair for most of my teenage years. It is very easy.

If it's not adjustable, you can replace the head with one that is without much hassle.

Or follow what I predict N. Papp's solution will be: Set a garden gnome in a strategic location near the head.

easy to find a sprinkler head that either adjusts or has 1/4 spray, 1/2 spray, or 3/4 spray pattern. I'm guessing it's a pop up head and not a rotor. It is a simple procedure...just unscrew what you have and take it in to Lowes or Home Depot and match it up and then find the appropriate screw on head. Adjustable is the best way to go. There should be a screw on top of the head that will allow you to adjust the distance of the spray also. Relocating the sprinkler would be a pain in the buttocks.

What you said, plus if it isn't watering a critical area, remove the pop up at the base and cap it off.

Is it a pop up mist head or a rotor?

Both are easy to adjust. Hunter uses an Allen head tool to adjust, rain bird uses a screw driver. On a rotor they usually stop one way and the adjustment controls the place it stops on the back of the pattern.

On a pop up mist head just change the nozzle to the one you need. Raid bird has adjustable nozzles that spray from 1 degree to 360.

I keep a sack full of nozzles to fix stuff on the jobs.

A good place to get parts is john Deere landscape on Lincoln in edmond. Between memorial and 33rd. Ewing on lincoln just north of memorial also handles parts.
