Maybe some of this has been covered in other threads, but let's look at some ST trends after 6 games.

Overall, I would say that our ST play has been above average. In some areas it has been strong. In some areas, the best you can say is that it hasn't been weak.

Grogan has been a stud when we have needed him to be. Just imagine if he had missed FG attempts in the last 3 games. Not sure if the missed PAT was on the Center or Holder (I think it was the Holder), but it wasn't on Grogan.

Sinor has had a few poor punts this season, but overall has performed exceptionally. He was great yesterday with long punts when needed, and with pinning WVU deep in their own territory when needed.

It sure would be nice to get a touchback on a kickoff every so often. Luckily, coverage has been strong and I don't think anyone has broken a long KO return on us this season, but it is only a matter of time. I wish we could find a walk-on soccer play with more leg strength for KOs.

Speaking of coverage, it has also been strong on punts. Once again, I don't think we have given up a long punt return this season. It is bound to happen in an upcoming game, though. Rare to go through a full season without someone finding a crease in coverage.

We have all talked about it before, but punt returns continues to be well below average for this team. McClesky has yet to break off any kind of return. I don't think it is all on him, as it seems like gunnners get through without being slowed on every single one. But, it would be nice to have some kind of a punt return threat, as it can really spark a team to victory (see Tyreek Hill against OU).
