Sometimes our state government just makes me hang my head in disgust.

This is what happens when gutless bureaucratic pencil pushing cubicle dwelling lawyers that couldn't make it in the private sector (I knowingly gave you the opening @syskatine ...you're welcome) refuse to make the call and stand by their decision.
I spoke with a couple of the co-authors of the bill during the passage process. They clearly intended that on premises sales be allowed by the legislation. The language is pretty damn clear. i personally attribute this to the influence of macro brewing big beer money delaying the coming competition as long as possible. An "official" AG opinion can take six months to a year to be issued.
On the bright side, I spoke with the Anthem Brewing guys today. They are pissed. It may be all talk right now, but they said they fully intend to serve full strength on premises on the effective date of the statute and basically dare ABLE to try to enforce their "unofficial" opinion without an administrative rule or AG opinion in place. I can only hope other brewers follow suit.

The fact that our AG seems to be an enormous twat who tries to advance a social conservative viewpoint on everyone including other states doesn't give me a lot of hope that he will side with the brewers.

This really isn't, IMO. This is mostly the macro beer distributors and not the spirits distributors.

Ended up at Coop to pick up some of their Oktoberfest, maybe pick up a Coop branded glass boot, and maybe some crowlers if they have any weird stuff to special release.
Gotta build up the tailgating stock.
