Something we can all agree on

While I fully support the troops and it saddens me that someone felt the need to take their own life, I question what exactly we want the government to do differently here? It already offers suicide prevention hotlines and counseling.

respectfully this is way out of touch with the challenges of re-integration

working in a mill
going to the vfw, getting soused with your brothers and people who understand isn’t the reality this day and age

So what do we want the government to do differently? I don't mean to sound insensitive, and maybe I am out of touch. But I don't know what we want the government to do differently, and I don't settle for "well we have to do something". That's the same argument used by the gun-control crowd, the single-payer crowd, etc. If there are particular recommendations, I'm all ears. But I can't sign up supporting another government boondoggle even in support of our troops.
