Maybe it has been discussed and I missed it. I know there was talk about it prior to the game, but I think it is worth revisiting.
TCU had 2 extra days to prepare for the game against us and we still dominated them. I suspect that the OSU/Tech game played a big role, as TCU was forced to spend a lot more time preparing for the Walsh package. I would also think that TCU figured they could do a lot of the things, on offense, that resulted in Tech scoring early against us, but I digress.
I don't know if those 2 extra days are significant or not, but it would seem to really help. Last Saturday, the TCU coaches didn't have a game to worry about and could totally focus on the OSU/Tech game with no distractions. They also had an extra day or two to prepare the players for the OSU game and go over the gameplan.
Yet, OSU dominated them on both sides of the ball.
Baylor has a huge game this weekend, so they won't be able to spend any extra time preparing for OSU (will our coaches start gameplanning for BU a day or 2 early due to having ISU this weekend?) OU plays TCU 1 week before Bedlam, so they won't have any extra time to prepare for our game.
IMO, this is another aspect as to why the schedule gives OSU a significant advantage in our remaining games. Couldn't be set up any better.
